Robotic Hands - video

Back in February we were learning all about the body and how it moves.

We learned about different types of body parts and how they work together to help us move:

- bones

- muscles

- tendons

First we looked at the spine and made a model of it. We used a pipe cleaner as the spinal cord and a straw for the vertebrae. The movement was very limited first, so we cut the straw into small pieces to represent the individual vertebrae, and this allowed our model spine to move more freely.

Next we learned about muscles, tendons and bones. We practiced flexing different muscles and observing the changes.

We looked more closely at the hand next. Have a look at the video to see our robotic hands and find out what we learned!
